How to play

Drag a cube face to turn a row or column, including the middle layer. Release to snap to 90°. On a trackpad, pan with two fingers to orbit and pinch to zoom. Drag the background or hold Shift and drag to orbit, including upside down. With a mouse, hold Alt and use the wheel to zoom. Gestures over the cube do not scroll the page; you can still scroll outside it. U / D / L / R / F / B turn the faces relative to your current view. Hold Shift to reverse a keyboard turn. Clockwise is defined while looking directly at the face being turned.

At an angle, the simulator chooses the nearest six-face orientation. A small buffer prevents directions from flickering near boundaries. Colored dots identify the physical center faces and record the mapping used for each move. Queued moves keep their original mapping. Reset cancels all queued moves immediately.

Move history shows the relative face letters you entered. Scramble notation uses fixed physical faces. Hover over a history item to see the physical turn.
